Distributed Systems / HPC Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

​Primary:

​

  • Design, code, test or support implementations utilizing distributed and parallel computing techniques.

  • Closely collaborates with the AI research team and design implementations of the theoretical experiments or provide application support.

  • Assertively cooperate with line and project supervisors and propose HPC enhancements to pipelines considering project management limitations and goals.

  • Constantly analyze, reevaluate and document existing cluster implementations.

  • Actively search for novel HPC techniques potentially upgrading the performance of company computational pipelines and analyze their impact

 

Secondary:

​

  • Performs all essential aspects and functions of software programmer’s job duties in multiple languages as well as any other specific job requirements if needed.

​

AiFi is searching for:

Mandatory requirements:

​

  • Minimum Bachelors in Computer Science or related field

  • Education finished AFTER the year 2013

  • Minimum 3 years of industry/business/research group experience AFTER graduation

  • Minimum 1.5 years of industry/research group experience with C++ programming

  • Minimum 1.5 years of industry/research group experience with Python programming

  • Minimum 1 project experience with bare-metal / Beowulf clusters

  • Industry/Research Group hands-on experience with utilization (programming, not setting up) of clusters in the real-world applications

  • Is able to join us asap (maximum limit 1st April 2020)

Desired, not mandatory requirements:

​

  • Experience with setting up the clusters

  • Experience with general-purpose GPU

  • Experience with other platforms such as Hadoop, Kubernetes, etc.

  • Experience with hardware performance, HPC and/or scientific computing

  • Experience with AI-related projects
